Singapore Tourism Board sets up Singapore Wanderland on Roblox
Its beta launch drew in 2 million visitors.
The Singapore Tourism Board (STB) has released the Singapore Wanderland on Roblox after its successful beta version launch on 11 May, drawing over two million visits to the reimagined Singapore in the metaverse.
The tourism board worked with gaming specialist Publicis Play and Roblox developer Wonder Works Studio to develop the game over a course of five months.
Singapore Wanderland has three mini-games based on real-life attractions to allow players to experience Singapore virtually.

Players may run and jump in an obstacle course with views of Marina Bays Sands and the Supertree Grove in "Garden Galaxis," find unique items in a Clarke Quay-inspired town square in "Finders' Isle," and ride a go-kart and race through the Singapore Botanic Gardens and Haw Par Villa in "Jungle Jiffy."
They can also customise their avatars using the collectibles they found in the game.
STB aimed to use Singapore Wanderland to reach primary markets such as India, the US, Indonesia, the Philippines, and Thailand.
The tourism board planned to grow the game into a platform where local tourism businesses can experiment and find new audiences in virtual environments.
