Singaporeans may apply for a nearly 3-month e-Visa for Japan travel
Residents may apply for short-term visa with tourism purposes for 90 days.
Residents in Singapore are eligible to apply for a 90-day tourist e-Visa for Japan, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Japan said in an announcement.
Other applicants who are eligible are residents of Brazil, Cambodia, Canada, Mongolia, Saudi Arabia, South Africa, Taiwan, the United Arab Emirates, the UK, and the US.
The Japanese ministry also warned applicants of fraud websites that looked similar to the Japan eVISA website.

Only those who enter Japan after 7 days or later from the day of application can apply for eVISA.
Applicants are required to log onto the JAPAN eVISA website and display “Visa issuance notice” at the departure airport on the screen of their mobile devices (i.e. smartphone, tablet or other devices). PDF data or screenshot of the page will not be accepted.
Following applicants are not eligible to apply online. Please apply for visa in person at Japanese overseas establishment with jurisdiction over region;
- Applicants who have been convicted of a crime or offence, deported, etc. in any country.
- Applicants with dual nationality (with Japan).
- Applicants who will apply for a multiple entry visa.
