STB seeks proposals for integrated tourism hub at Jurong Lake District
Tourism development at Jurong Lake is expected to be finished in 2028.
The Singapore Tourism Board (STB) launched a request for proposals (RFP) to develop and manage an integrated tourism hub at Jurong Lake District.
To recall, the STB disclosed in 2019 its plans to develop a 6.8-hectare site next to Jurong Lake to become a key lifestyle and tourism hub in Singapore’s largest district outside the market’s central business district.
As the RFP launches, STB projected that the tourism development will be finished from 2028.
STB sees the new lifestyle and tourism hub to comprise accommodation, retail, food and beverage, and entertainment offerings.
Under the modified concept and price revenue tender approach, investors are mandated to submit their concept proposals and tender prices separately. The tender will be open for seven months, and the closing date for the submission of proposals is 18 October 2022.
Firms that showed their interest during an expression of interest exercise for the site in 2019 will also be invited to join the tender. After giving the tender award, the site will be leased to the winning developer for 60 years.
