GuocoLeisure names Timothy James Scoble as CEO of UK unit
He joined the Group in 2006 as CEO of Guoman Hotels and was subsequently appointed as CEO of the Group in Jan. 2009.
The Board of Guocoleisure Ltd. has appointed Timothy James Scoble as Chief Executive Officer, GuocoLeisure UK.
Mr Scoble has over 20 years' experience in general and financial management in the hotel and restaurant sector, both in the UK and internationally. He is a qualified Chartered Accountant with the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales. Mr Scoble joined the Group in 2006 as Chief Executive Officer of Guoman Hotels and was subsequently appointed as Chief Executive Officer of the Group in January 2009. In a separate announcement to be issued by the Company today, Mr Scoble will relinquish his appointment as Chief Executive Officer of the Group and concurrently resign as an Executive Director of the Company. He will assume the role of Chief Executive Officer, GuocoLeisure, UK, so that he can focus his full time on managing the assets of the Group in the UK.
Mr Scoble will be responsible for the operational management and strategic direction of the Group’s hotel and gaming investments in the UK, according to a GuocoLeisure report.
Prior to joining the Group, Mr Scoble held various management positions and was a consultant to a number of private equity firms on leisure sector investment.
