CSA, Cisco sign MoC to boost cyber defence
Cisco will facilitate the cross-exchange of industry practices with CSA.
The Cyber Security Agency (CSA) of Singapore signed a Memorandum of Collaboration (MoC) with Cisco aiming to bolster the nation’s national security and digital resilience.
With Cisco’s security team Cisco Talos leveraging 60 government and law enforcement partnerships, it will facilitate the cross-exchange of industry practices with CSA.
Under the MoC, Cisco’s Country Digital Acceleration programme will explore the new translation of the cyber defence concept of operations for national cybersecurity initiatives.
On a larger scale, the two will explore raising the baseline level of ASEAN cybersecurity through an ASEAN Cybersecurity Assessment Model (ACAM) program.
Moreover, to bridge the cybersecurity skills gap, CSA and Cisco will upskill professionals by offering tech education under the Cisco Networking Academy, security operation centre training, workshops and Capture-the-Flag competitions.
Tay Bee Kheng, president of Cisco ASEAN, and Dan Yock Hau, assistant chief executive of CSA, signed the memorandum during the Singapore International Cyber Week 2024.
