Christopher Albrecht takes seat as Sun Life S’pore’s CEO
Albrecht will lead the strategic and operational aspects of Sun Life Singapore's business.
Sun Life Singapore announced the appointment of Christopher Albrecht as Chief Executive Officer, effective from 1 January 2024.
Based in Singapore, Albrecht will lead the strategic and operational aspects of Sun Life Singapore's business.
His focus will be on achieving long-term sustainable growth, diversifying the business model, and nurturing top talent. Reporting to Karim Gilani, President, Greater China, Singapore, and International High Net Worth at Sun Life Financial, this appointment follows Sun Life Singapore's strong momentum in 2023.

Christopher Albrecht brings more than 25 years of valuable expertise in the insurance sector, having held senior roles at HSBC Insurance (Singapore), Old Mutual International, Swiss Life, and 1291 Group (Hong Kong).
With experience in High-Net-Worth (HNW) banking, insurance, and brokerage sectors, he offers unique perspectives on the market. Originally from the United Kingdom, Christopher moved to Singapore in 2005 and later relocated to Hong Kong in 2017, expanding his understanding of the Asian insurance landscape.
