StarHub revamps online music store with KKBOX
Stay tuned for its launch in April.
StarHub today announced the rebranding of its three-year-old online music store as ‘Music Anywhere’, to coincide with the expansion of its digital music offerings in collaboration with KKBOX, the leading provider of digital music subscription services in Asia.
A key feature of StarHub’s revamped online music store is KKBOX’s music streaming service.
Come April this year, StarHub’s Music Anywhere will offer music lovers easy access to KKBOX’s extensive catalogue of songs – over 10 million of them from 500 international and local music labels – across their computers and mobile devices, anytime and anywhere.
“Our focus for the year is on growing our business by collaborating with strategic partners who are market leaders in their respective industries, such as KKBOX.
These collaborations allow us to pool together expertise, skills and resources with partners to create win-win business models as well as bring benefits to our consumers speedily,” said Ms Lin Shu Fen, Vice President of Home Solutions, StarHub.
“We are pleased to have KKBOX, a leading music and entertainment service provider in Asia, on board with us to bolster StarHub’s suite of digital content as well as offer exciting perks to delight our Music Anywhere users.”
StarHub will offer users an immersive entertainment experience, from catching up on celebrity news and watching music-related content on-the-go with Music Anywhere, to getting a chance to attend music concerts and meet-and-greet sessions with popular artistes.
With Music Anywhere, they can continue to buy Connecting Tones or DRM-free music tracks as a full song or ringtone directly on their mobile handset. They can also download a full song or an entire music album on their computer.
To celebrate the unveiling of Music Anywhere and partnership with KKBOX, StarHub will be offering Music Anywhere users the chance to get up close and personal with Mayday as well as other popular artistes from Hong Kong and Taiwan later this year. More details will be announced in due course.
