IMDA sets aside $55m to support production of drama series

Part of the fund will go to the development of virtual production capabilities.

The Infocomm Media Development Authority has announced a $30m international co-production fund to create high-quality drama series with local themes and international appeal.

The fund will be open to Singapore media companies with a track record in long-form content production. 

Local media companies with upcoming co-production projects to create Singapore stories that appeal to Singaporeans and global audiences are welcome to submit their proposals to IMDA between 11 December and 31 January 2024.

IMDA will also top-up the virtual production innovation fund by $25m over the next three years to further develop local virtual production talent.

The fund will support higher-quality training for local media talents.
