Yahoo has unveiled Singapore’s top online searches for 2023, including the most searched stocks, brands, and business leaders.
According to Yahoo's "Year in Review 2023," Singapore Airlines is the most searched stock in Singapore, followed by OCBC Bank, DBS, Tesla, Alibaba, and Keppel Corporation.
Amongst local business leaders, former MAS director and 2023 presidential candidate Ng Kok Song emerged as the most searched figure.
Ng's fellow presidential candidate, Tan Kin Lian, was also in the top five, ranking behind George Goh.
Wrapping up the top five most search business leaders were property tycoon and hotelier Ong Beng Seng and the late Creative Technology founder Sing Wong Hoo.
Meanwhile, Elon Musk, Bruce Rockowitz, Pita Limjaroenrat, Li Keqiang, and Jean Todt, are the top 5 most searched international business leaders.
Looking at brands, Dior, Sephora, Kiehl’s Singapore, Innisfree, and The Body Shop emerged as the top searched beauty lines.
For tech brands, Google (1st), Xiaomi (6th), and Lenovo (7th) are amongst the most searched by Singaporeans.
Meanwhile, Singaporeans searched for iPhone 15, Nintendo Switch, iPad, Samsung S23 Ultra, and Amazon Kindle the most amongst gadgets.
On the hospitality side, Trip.com, Agoda, and AirAsia rose as the most searched online travel portals, whilst Pan Pacific Hotel Singapore (2nd), Goodwood Park Hotel (4th), Marriott Hotel (6th), Fullerton Hotel (8th), and Hilton Hotel Singapore (9th) are the most searched local hotels.
In addition, Genting Dream Cruise is the most searched getaway for Singaporeans.
