MSCI Asia Pacific index up 0.3%

The biggest gainers as at 2 July 2012 noon were the Philippines and Thailand.

RBS reported:

Asian markets traded moderately in the green despite the sub-par PMI readings released by China and Taiwan. The MSCI Asia Pacific index was up 0.3% at noon. On an individual basis, the biggest gainers were Philippines and Thailand which were both up by 1.1%, followed by Indonesia which was up 0.8%. China markets were volatile, swinging between gains and losses, affected by the weak PMI readings. Hong Kong is closed for a public holiday.
