SGX raises $1.388m from Bull Charge 2012 charity run

Beneficiaries get a 20% increase in funds.

Singapore Exchange announced it has raised $1.388 million from the Bull Charge 2012 charity run.

Bull Charge 2012, according to SGX, has garnered strong support from more than 60 corporate sponsors. The top seven sponsors alone contributed S$760,000, or more than half the amount raised.

Besides organizer SGX, the other sponsors are Thai Beverage, Noble Group, BinjaiTree, UOB Group, Bank of America Merrill Lynch, Temasek Holdings, and Bursa Malaysia.

This year, SGX tripled its commitment period to the charities from one to three years, allowing charities to focus on longer term programmes and projects which may have greater impact on beneficiaries.

All funds raised will go towards four charities: Asian Women’s Welfare Association, Autism Association (Singapore), Fei Yue Community Services, and Shared Services for Charities.
