SGX's charity initiative goes virtual
The two-week virtual fundraiser pledges a total of $1.5m to kiskstart the event.
SGX Bull Charge, the flagship charity initiative of Singapore Exchange (SGX), is going virtual for the first time, a news release confirmed. The event will take place from 30 October to 13 November and is open to local and international runners.
The charity run will begin with a virtual three km Chief Challenge involving CEOs and executives. Participants in the virtual Mass Run can run at their own pace and space, with the aim of achieving a collective distance of 100,000 km to form a “charging bull” symbol. The exchange will match contributions dollar for dollar up to $1m and donate a further $5 for every kilometre completed, up to 100,000 km. All proceeds will be distributed to organisations such as AWWA, Autism Association Singapore, Fei Yue Community Services, HCSA Community Services and Shared Services for Charities, the press release added.
SGX Bull Charge claims to be the only corporate charity initiative that brings together Singapore’s financial community and listed companies and has raised $39m since its debut in 2004.
