Blackpanda raises $8.6m funding for IR-1 cyber solution enhancement
This brings the company’s total Series A round size to $27.9m.
Blackpanda has raised $8.6m (US$6.7m) in funding from Singtel Innov8, Gaw Capital Partners, and WI Harper Group for the enhancement and expansion of its ‘IR-1’ cybersecurity solution across Asia.
This brings the company’s total Series A round size to $27.9m (US$21.7m).
"Our IR-1 solution provides price-optimized, end-to-end cyber emergency response for a fixed-cost subscription,” Gene Yu, founder and CEO of Blackpanda Group, said.
IR-1 aims to address an entire cyber attack lifecycle and ensure readiness through incident response preparation services enhanced by proactive Attack Surface Management (ASM).
The funding also coincides with the integration of Blackpanda Underwriting, backed by Chaucer of Lloyd's of London, into the Blackpanda Group, completing the company’s cyber resilience offering.
Moreover, the company has major telecommunication providers as partners of their cyber protection solutions, including Singtel, Macroview (a HGC group company), and Companhia de Telecomunicações de Macau (CTM).
Singtel’s Cyber Elevate Programme, an initiative aimed at improving the cyber security resilience of small and medium enterprises, has already incorporated Blackpanda’s solution to its offering.
