Six funds alone totalled $1.46b in value.

This chart from Preqin and Vertex Study shows that Singaporean funds dominated the list of top six notable ASEAN-based venture capital funds closed in 2018/2019.

The $414m target fund by Vertex Ventures SEA and India was the top fund of the period; currently, Vertex Ventures SEA & India Fund IV has secured $317.7m at its first close in May 2019.

The $226.3m EV Growth Fund by East Ventures followed. Basil Partners Fund III, Openspaces Ventures II, ComfortDelGro Ventures, and Golden Gate Ventures Fund III made up the remainder of the list.

Singapore was crowned as the leader for VC capital deals amongst its ASEAN peers, recording $20.7b since 2017, according to the report.
