Investors increase exposure to Tesla, Pfizer as IMX rises in February
They were net sellers of Netflix as the firm faces price cuts in some markets.
The Singapore investor movement index grew to 4.29 in February from 4.13 in January, with most of them, like the rest of the client population, net buyers of equities, global online broker, TD Ameritrade Singapore, said.
In a statement, TD Ameritrade, said Singapore clients and overall TD Ameritrade client population were net buyers of Tesla even as the firm recalled over 360,000 vehicles during the period because of a software issue.
The Singapore clients also raised exposure in Pfizer as they found buying into the company’s weakness as Pfizer “reported revenue numbers that missed street expectations following a decline in vaccine sales.”
Singapore clients and the overall TD Ameritrade client population were net sellers of Netflix, as the company contracted over 12% after declaring price cuts in some markets amidst rising competition.
Singapore clients decreased exposure in Airbnb because the travel company’s strong quarterly earnings results surpassed street expectations.
