It was amongst the 38 additions to the DJSI World.
Keppel Corporation has been named a new constituent of the Dow Jones Sustainability World Index (DJSI World) and the Dow Jones Sustainability Asia Pacific Index (DJSI Asia Pacific).
This year, Dow Jones added 38 companies to the DJSI World and 19 constituents to DJSI Asia.
Keppel was amongst DJSI Asia's top five additions by market capitalisation.
Overall, DJSI world has 332 constituents, whilst DJSI Asia Pacific has 156 companies.
The DJSI World and APAC indices comprise sustainability leaders as identified by S&P Global through the CSA.
DJSI World represents the top 10% of the largest 2,500 companies in the S&P Global Broad Market Index based on long-term environmental, social, governance and economic criteria.
Meanwhile, DJSI Asia-Pacific Index represents the top 20% of the 600 largest companies in the Asia-Pacific developed region in the SP Global Broad Market Index based on long-term environmental, social, governance and economic criteria.
Companies are selected as index constituents based on their ESG scores resulting from the annual S&P Global Corporate Sustainability Assessment (CSA).
"The CSA utilises an integrated assessment of governance and economic, environmental and social criteria to select best-in-class companies with a strong focus on long-term shareholder value," Keppel Corporation explained.
