
Last week’s share buybacks reached $63.3m: SGX
Genting Singapore PLC is top stock.
Share buybacks is a process where a share issuer repurchases some of its outstanding shares from shareholders through open market transactions.
According to SGX, for the third week of the month from 17 to 21 November, there were a total of 64,071,500 shares repurchased by 14 stocks with a total consideration of S$63.3 million. This followed on from 12 companies repurchasing 15,619,000 shares with a total consideration of S$22.4 million in the preceding week.
The five stocks with the largest consideration amount in buybacks were Genting Singapore PLC, SATS, OCBC, Pacific Century Regional Developments, and Pan-United Corporation.
