Manulife Investment Management Singapore names new CEO
The company promoted one of its executives, Hui-Jian Koh, for the position.
Manulife Investment Management Singapore promoted Hui-Jian Koh as its new CEO, who will also retain her post as head of retail distribution and partnerships in Southeast Asia.
Hui-Jian joined the investment firm in 2019 where she led sustainable business growth and built positive revenue momentum by coordinating with the Singapore-based and regional functional teams.
As the new CEO, Hui-Jian will be responsible for developing and implementing Manulife Investment Management Singapore’s corporate strategy and will manage the company’s overall wealth and asset management business in the Singapore market.
She will still work with strategic distribution partners in Southeast Asia to offer wealth management solutions to meet clients’ financial needs.
Before serving at Manulife, she took the helm of product at an insurance firm, Prudential, where she led the development of protection, endowment, investment-linked and medical and group products. She also served as head of retail distribution at Eastspring Investments.
Manulife said Hui-Jian’s appointment has already received regulatory approval.
For her part, Hui-Jian said she seeks to “sharpen” the income-oriented focus of Manulife to further provide investment solutions to investors in the Lion City and other markets in Southeast Asia.
