Nearly 70% of Singaporeans remain interested and invested in SG’s market

Most are invested in SGX, ETFs, and REITs.

A total of 68% of Singaporeans remain interested in investing and are currently invested in the Singapore market, a survey found.

In its Singapore Investor Pulse Survey 2022, Syfe found that 83% are invested in Singapore Exchange stocks, exchange-traded funds of real estate investment funds. Syfe surveyed more than 1,000 Singaporeans, aged 18-55 years old.

“The Singapore market has truly been a bright spot among its global peers this year, and is well-loved by investors for being home to stable companies with solid track records, as well as high dividend yielding stocks,” Dhruv Arora, Founder, and CEO of Syfe, said.

Meanwhile, 49% of those currently invested plan to either maintain or increase their exposure, which Syfe noted as a signal of a strong homeground appeal amongst Singaporean investors.

For those not currently invested, Syfe found that 90% have indicated their intent to start investing in the next 12 months.
