According to Thomson Reuters, buyside Financial Sponsor M&A activity in Singapore this year fell 51.2% to US$267.1 million, the lowest first nine months volume level since 2004 (US$39.3 million).

During the third quarter of 2013, private equity-backed M&A in Singapore amounted to US$83.2 million, a 23.4% drop from the second quarter of this year, and the lowest third quarter volume since 2010 (US$12.6 million).
Singapore captured 28.9% of the private equity-backed acquisitions in Southeast Asia but fell behind Vietnam which accounted for 49.2% with US$455.2 million worth of deals.
