Securities drop spoils SGX’s stable derivatives and commodities growth for November

Securities market turnover value fell 16% to $19.4b.

The local bourse could have maintained steady growth across all of its market activities in November if it weren’t for its securities, as securities daily average value fell 13% yoy to $970m.

According to a press release by SGX, market turnover value of Exchange Traded Funds (ETFs) was down 41% mom to $158m.

On the other hand, there were 4 new Catalist listings which raised $135m, while 31 new bond listings for the month drew $14b.

“Total market capitalisation value of 771 listed companies stood at S$902.4 billion as at end November 2015,” the statement said.

Meanwhile, total derivatives volume was 13.6 million, up 20% mom, while SGX Commodities Derivatives volume was 988,334, up 28% mom.
