SGX, NYSE to collaborate on dual listing of companies

Other areas of collaboration include the exploration of ETF products.

The Singapore Exchange (SGX Group) and New York Stock Exchange (NYSE) have inked a collaboration deal that will allow the two bourses to work together on three key areas, including the dual listing of companies.

Dual listings between SGX Group and NYSE will allow users to tap into pools of capital in key markets outside their home regions.

Apart from dual listings, the two exchanges will also support index product development and explore new exchange-traded fund (ETF) products.

CEO of SGX Group, Loh Boon Chye, said the collaboration with NYSE “aims to create a more connected ecosystem to facilitate access to capital and the development of new investment solutions to address growing complex needs of market participants and investors.”

NYSE President, Lynn Martin, echoed this, adding that the agreement “will bring issuers access to greater opportunity as well as drive the development of new products in high-demand areas such as ESG.”
