Multiple MOUs were signed between Singapore and the Indian state.
Singapore and the northern Indian state of Uttar Pradesh signed several Memorandums of Understanding (MOUs) to further economic cooperation and bring investments in the Indian state to collaborate across sectors of mutual interests such as urban development, sustainable industrial development, and skills development.
The agreements were signed over the weekend during the Uttar Pradesh Global Investor Summit (UP GIS) at the Singapore Pavilion in Lucknow, where Singapore was one of the event’s partner countries along with Japan, the Netherlands, and Denmark.
The event, which lasted from 10 to 12 February, showcased the investments for the state's infrastructure, education, and logistics from 21 Singapore-based companies.
The said collaboration will enable Singapore to understand the developmental needs of the Indian state.
At the same event, Enterprise Singapore facilitated the signing of six new MOUs with the Government of Uttar Pradesh that enables six of the country’s companies to further their project investments and capture growth opportunities that are in line with the state’s efforts in developing their urban and waste management infrastructure, IT parks and data centres, and educational facilities.
