
Turmoil in Middle East and Japan spooked investors: Ernst & Young
It slowed down the pace of new issuances in March including those in Singapore and Asia.
According to Max Loh, Assurance Partner and IPO Leader for Singapore and Asean, Ernst & Young, recent turmoil in the Middle East and Japan has unsettled broader stock market indexes.
The uncertainty in the capital markets has made execution and pricing challenging. Havin said that, there is still a healthy pipeline of companies wanting to tap on the capital markets but are waiting for the right window to so do.
On the other hand, investors are also waiting for the right growth story and realistic valuations before moving in on the market.
