Value slip shadows green tech deal boom in Singapore

The total value of green tech deals declined to $346.4m (US$257m).

Green tech deals more than doubled in 2023, jumping from 10 in 2022 to 26 in 2023.

Despite recording a higher deal volume, the total value of green tech deals slipped to $346.4m (US$257m) from $349.1m (US$259m) in 2022.

The Singapore Venture Funding Landscape 2023 revealed that investors prefer investing in venture-backed companies that have ESG frameworks embedded into their core operations and management.

Green tech enterprises with hardware capabilities in renewable energy, waste management, and battery services are also gaining traction amongst investors, the report added.
