CFM Holdings appoints Peter Lai Hock Meng as Director

The company believes Mr Lai will be able to perform his duties effectively as an Independent Director despite his multiple directorships in other companies.

The Board of CFM Holdings announced the appointment of Peter Lai Hock Meng as its Independent Director. The Nominating Committee, after reviewing Mr Lai's qualifications and working experience, has recommended the appointment of Mr Lai for the post. The NC has ascertained that Mr Lai will be able to carry out his duties effectively as an Independent Director, notwithstanding his multiple directorships in other listed companies. The Board has accepted the recommendation of the NC and approved his appointment, according to a CFM Holdings report.

From 1998 to 2005, Mr Lai, 55, was the Chief Executive and director of Star Castle Capital (Singapore) Pte. Ltd. In 2006, Mr Lai joined Citigroup Private Bank as a Senior Private Banker. Mr Lai joined OCBC Private Bank from 2006 to 2007, as Regional Market Manager to lead the Greater China Team.
