ISR Capital appoints Chen Tong as non-independent director

The appointment is non-executive.

Mr. Chen’s appointment took effect on October 27, 2016. The 51-year-old, according to a release, has been to Australia, Canada, southern Africa, and Southeast Asia for the development of mineral resources in the past ten years.

He established a good relationship of cooperation with many Chinese and Japanese companies, such as Minmetals, Chinalco, China Non-Ferrous, Winsway, Sumitomo and other large enterprises. His focus is in the areas of nonferrous minerals, manganese mine, nickel project and coking coal.

Before he founded Newview Resources in October 2009, he was the managing director of the Department of Overseas Business, Bao Minerals International Co., a subsidiary of Bao Steel Group, from February 2005 to April 2009. He was responsible for investment projects in the mining industry in southern Africa. He has more than 29 years of experience in the field of metallurgical and mining and investments.
