United Overseas Bank's Chief Risk Officer resigns

Tham Ming Soong quits his job to spend more time with his family.

The Board of United Overseas Bank announced the resignation of Tham Ming Soong as Chief Risk Officer effective May 4, 2012 to spend more time with family and pursue personal interests.

Mr Tham, 54, is tasked to oversee risk management function. Manage the systems and implement processes for risk management. Facilitate senior management's understanding of various risk types and development of risk controls and mitigation procedures.

He was appointed to the position Dec 1, 2005.
