4 in 5 business leaders rely on media to shape ESG strategies
For Singapore business leaders, “environment” is the top ESG priority.
Four in five or 89% of Singapore’s business leaders found media reporting to be ‘very impactful’ in shaping corporate ESG strategy, according to a survey by BBC Studios.
91% of business leaders think that it is important to be seen by external parties as “socially responsible.”
In addition, 52% also said that they will typically engage with higher-cost suppliers who carry better ESG credentials.
When it comes to ESG priorities for Singapore business leaders, “environment” is the leading focus (44%), followed by “social” (34%), and “governance” (23%).
The survey also revealed that Singapore business leaders usually seek ESG news primarily through dedicated ESG publications and websites, mainstream news platforms, and social media.
