World Federation of Exchanges taps SGX CEO to be its chairman
Boon Chye Loh will serve the federation as chair for two years.
Singapore Exchange CEO, Boon Chye Loh, has been appointed chairman of the World Federation of Exchanges (WFE). He will serve a two-year term.
“Singapore Exchange has been a longstanding supporter of the WFE. It is my privilege to serve as chairman of WFE to help promote the association’s mission in fostering a transparent, collaborative, and innovative ecosystem for the global financial markets,” the SGX CEO said.
Boon will be working with newly-appointed WFE Vice-Chairman Jos Dijsselhof, amongst others.
Others who were inducted to the WFE Board include TMX Group Limited CEO John McKenzie as working committee chairman; Bermuda Stock Exchange President and CEO Greg Wojciechowski as director of Americas region; Cboe Global Markets CEO Fredric J. Tomczyk as director of Americas region; Japan Exchange Group CEO Hiromi Yamaji as director of Asia-Pacific region; and Korea Exchange CEO and Chairman Byungdoo Sohn as director of Asia-Pacific region.
