Best Car comes to town
COMM,a Japanese media company, has launched its first English title. Best Car (Singapore) is Asia’s first Japn’asian Car and Lifestyle Magazine, with motoring content from the heart of the Asian Auto Industry.
First published more than 30 years ago in Japan, Best Car is the No.1 automobile magazine title in Japan, distributing 350,000 copies a month. Packed to the ream with over 200 pages of insider news, views and reviews per issue, it is no wonder that it has to be published biweekly.
By carefully selecting content for the local readers, Singapore’s very own version is published monthly, but our research showed that Singaporeans wanted more: condensing over a third of content was not enough. They wanted Best Car to represent other Asian automakers.
We happily obliged. “We see ourselves as a platform to represent Asia toAsians,” said COMM’s Chairman, Mikio Mori. “We believe there is an opportunity here, to showcase the best of Asia, be it cars, lifestyle, or culture, in the best light. It deserves nothing less.”

Building on the publication’s tagline, we have included music, movies, food, consumer technology, and yes, even fashion sections. What is a car if not an extension of the driver’s personality and a lifestyle statement?
So here we are. A Japn'asian car and lifestyle magazine for both male and female readers. For connoisseurs of Asian goods and services. For drivers of Asian cars. For automotive enthusiasts who always wished Best Car would be published in English. For newly minted drivers who want to know which cars are available; for aficionados who want to know which will soon debut. And aboveall, for those who never saw the difference between “car” and “lifestyle”.
