QuickHR bags Human Resource Consulting Case Study of the Year at the SBR Business Case Studies Awards 2018
QuickHR's human resource management platform has provided Saintmarc with a cost-effective solution for its hiring process.
After its move to go digital, Saintmarc South East Asia adopted QuickHR, a cost-effective solution that has helped boost the company’s overall productivity. Saintmarc's antiquated system was a server-based human resource platform that made hiring new employees a tedious process. Not only was it inflexible, it also limited the company's growth and profitability. Because of this QuickHR won the Human Resource Consulting Case Study of the Year at the SBR Business Case Studies Awards 2018.
QuickHR Chief Executive Officer Sukhveer Bajaj says its HR management platform is a solution "that anyone can master." This is especially helpful, Bajaj says, for companies like Saintmarc South East Asia that have small HR teams. "In many SMEs that we have served, resources are often limited and it’s usually a ‘one man show’. You’ll be surprised to see that even some of the larger companies with a significant number of head count often have a small HR team," says Bajaj. "As the backbone of the company, they are tasked to handle complex payroll calculations, leaves and claims requests from various departments and the list goes on."
"We also want to provide our clients with a service that can solve all of their problems and help them work happier and more satisfied," he adds.
QuickHR, Bajaj explains, gives clients "flexibility and scalability" because it is a cloud-based Software-as-a-Service (SaaS). QuickHR is hosted on Amazon Web Services (AWS), the largest cloud infrastructure in the world. To put is simply, Bajaj says QuickHR helps "HR departments focus on less paper, more people."
Because of its "extremely user-friendly interface," QuickHR can automate a company's entire HR workflow "with a few mouse clicks." "It doesn’t matter if you’re just an admin in your company of six or you’re a HR Director in a large corporation; as long as you use QuickHR, you will be able to solve all of your HR concerns," says Bajaj.
Since QuickHR is cloud-based, this has given its clients like Saintmarc the freedom to allocate funds to other needs instead of upgrading storage infrastructure every year. "System-bound HR systems require businesses to purchase physical infrastructure commonly known as server or hardware to store data. Such infrastructure is rigid, expensive and security can be a concern. Once the storage space is used up, businesses would have to spend more money to purchase more information storage space," explains Bajaj. "There’s flexibility and scalability through cloud so businesses can just pay for the space they need. With a few clicks, their infrastructure can be upgraded easily to fit their requirements."
Another advantage of being cloud-based is that QuickHR gives clients convenient access event outside the office. This means QuickHR users will not be bound to any system. "With internet connectivity, users will be able to login to QuickHR to do their leave, claims or payroll anytime, anywhere," says Bajaj.
QuickHR's built-in payroll module also gives it an edge over other similar HR management platforms. Aside from being user-friendly, QuickHR's payroll module has also integrated various accounting software such as QuickBooks Online and Xero. This makes QuickHR is an all-in-one tool that lets clients use it for various accounting processes such as a CPF calculator, computation of allowances, deductions, overtime pay, basic salary, gross salary, funding, and donations.
