Piyush Gupta named ‘most visible' CEO in local media
Wilmar's Kuok Khoon Hong was deemed 'most favourable' CEO.
DBS Bank’s chief executive officer Piyush Gupta had the highest visibility among local media, according to CARMA ASIA’s yearly CEO Brand Report.
Gupta bested other CEOs in volume of media mentions due to his frequent communications on DBS’ effort to navigate the COVID-19 pandemic, as well as publicly speaking out on issues surrounding his citizenship during his appointment as CEO.
Meanwhile, Wilmar International CEO Kuok Khoon Hong was named as CEO with the “most favourable” mentions, following the company's $7m donation and positive performance this year.
Singapore Airlines CEO Goh Choon Phong was also commended for being the first to address the issues surrounding the company’s staff layoffs and pay cuts.
“The report identifies how CEOs of Singapore’s top brands have distinguished themselves during a challenging year, while illustrating how in-depth communications analysis provides a strategic advantage to organisations navigating uncertainty,” CARMA ASIA Managing Director Andrew Nicholls said.
