MediaCorp changes board of directors
MediaCorp Directors, Mr Robert Tomlin and Ms Shirlene Noordin, stepped down on 4 August 2011, each having served 6 years with the Board.
MediaCorp Pte Ltd announced the appointment of Dr Thomas Ng, Dr Pari Sara Shirazi, Mr Chan Heng Kee and Mr Ahmad Nizam to its Board of Directors with immediate effect.
Dr Ng, 57, is the co-founder of GGV Capital and also a founding investor of Alibaba.com, SAVI Technologies, Oculex Pharmaceuticals, AAC and Ku6.com.
Dr Shirazi, 56, is the President and Founder of Tisch School of the Arts Asia and concurrently the Vice Dean of Tisch School of the Arts at New York University, a position she held since 1999.
Mr Chan, 42, was appointed the Permanent Secretary for Ministry of the Community, Youth and Sports in April this year. Prior to his current appointment, he was the CEO of Singapore Workforce Development Agency.
Mr Nizam, 43, is an Associate Director at Straits Law Practice LLC and Associate Mediator of the Singapore Mediation Centre.
