Corporate dinner events may resume as social restrictions ease
F&B outlets can also seat up to five vaccinated people at one table without checks.
Social restrictions in dining and events will continue to ease, as announced by Finance Minister Lawrence Wong on 24 March 2022, to take effect next Tuesday, 29 March 2022.
Corporate dinners and dances, and wedding celebrations were amongst the events that may resume, so long as no more than ten people are seated at one table.
"Safe distancing of one meter should still apply, and we will continue to encourage all participants to exercise prudence and self-restraint and limit your interactions to the same group that you are seated with," Wong said.
Food and beverage establishments may also start seating up to ten vaccinated people at one table, so long as their vaccination status has been checked. Groups of up to five vaccinated people may also be seated together without thorough checking.
The government will be conducting random spot checks to make sure that only vaccinated people are allowed to dine in.
Live performances will be allowed to resume in all venues, and sale and consumption of alcoholic beverages may be allowed past 10:30 pm.
The government is currently studying how nightlife businesses can safely resume.
