DBS, Univers ink deal to concoct digital solutions toward net-zero
Pilot tests will initially involve DBS' SME clients in Hong Kong, India, Mainland China, and Singapore.
DBS and Univers, previously Envision Digital, announced a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) to expedite the adoption of cost-effective digital solutions for enhanced carbon measurement and tracking, aiming to drive the energy transition in Asia.
DBS' sustainable financing offerings and Univers' digital capabilities will provide a solution to assist companies, particularly small and medium enterprises (SMEs), in their decarbonisation endeavours.
Powered by Artificial Intelligence and the Internet of Things (IoT), Univers’ proprietary software, EnOS Ark, offers a centralised platform for tracking, measuring, and optimising emissions. This platform helps manage and enhance operational efficiency. Univers' system currently connects over 220 million smart devices and 550 gigawatts of energy assets worldwide.

Through the utilisation of EnOS Ark, DBS aims to further its commitment to achieving net-zero emissions by assisting its SME clients in obtaining a more accurate and comprehensive understanding of their baseline carbon footprint.
This partnership will also identify areas with high emissions in supply chains and ways to transition to more sustainable business models.
Both DBS and Univers plan to collaborate in identifying cloud partners across the region to expedite the adoption of the platform.
Pilot tests will initially involve DBS' SME clients in Hong Kong, India, Mainland China, and Singapore. The pilot program will begin in sectors such as logistics, retail, renewable energy, and manufacturing, with plans to expand into other industries based on market demands.
