EnterpriseSG partners with tech industry to boost AI capabilities for SMEs
The initiative includes the Microsoft Copilot for SMEs programme and the Applied AI programme at IHLs.
Enterprise Singapore (EnterpriseSG) has joined forces with the tech industry to introduce new artificial intelligence (AI) resources to support small and medium enterprises (SMEs) in Singapore, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Trade and Industry Gan Kim Yong announced.
The Microsoft Copilot for SMEs program, developed in collaboration with Microsoft and AI Singapore (AISG), aims to drive the adoption of Copilot for Microsoft 365 amongst companies.
Under this initiative, SMEs will work with Microsoft’s partners to implement Copilot for Microsoft 365 and undergo specialised training workshops to maximise its benefits for enhanced productivity. EnterpriseSG will subsidise 50% of the license costs for eligible SMEs, enabling each SME to purchase up to 50 licenses at a reduced rate for a 12-month subscription period.
Additionally, the Applied AI program at the Institutes of Higher Learning will provide tailored AI solutions for SMEs through partnerships with Nanyang Polytechnic and Singapore Polytechnic, starting in June 2024. The program will also offer a 50% subsidy for eligible SMEs.
