GSS Energy names new board chairperson

Joanna Lei Chien has nearly four 40 years of experience in media and financial services.

GSS Energy Limited has appointed Joanna Lei Chien as its chairperson of the board and non-executive independent director, effective 16 July 2024.

The company said in a bourse filing that she will replace Anthony Kuek, who retired from the board in April.

In her 40 years of work experience, Lei held various senior roles in the public and private sectors. Her most recent board appointments in listed companies include IBF Financial Holdings Co. Ltd., Pacific Construction Co. Ltd., and Natural Beauty Bio-Technology Ltd.

“This appointment not only strengthens our leadership team but also aligns with our future plans, as we expect that she shall bring with her fresh perspectives to drive strategic direction and innovation.
