More than half of Singaporean parents prefer sustainable products
This is despite sustainable items being more expensive.
Over five in 10 (56%) of parents in Singapore prefer products that are sustainably sourced whilst being more expensive and despite the rising cost of living, data from an HP study showed.
The preference towards sustainable products comes from parents being more concerned about climate change, said HP.
HP’s findings showed that 95% of parents in Singapore are concerned about climate change, and nearly half (43%) said the climate crisis has impacted their perspective on having more children.
Apart from choosing sustainable products, Singaporean parents (34%) are also reconsidering working for a company based on its commitment to environmental and social issues.
