SG in talks with Malaysia over resumption of full air, land travel
The two countries aim to help rebuild people-to-people connections.
On a working visit to Kuala Lumpur on 23 March, Singapore Health Minister Ong Ye Kung said he is working with Malaysian counterpart Khairy Jamaluddin towards resuming full air and land travel for vaccinated people.
"We had a fruitful and frank discussion. We agreed that Singapore and Malaysia enjoy excellent and longstanding bilateral relations, our peoples have many linkages and ties, but they were all disrupted by the COVID-19 pandemic," said Ong in a Facebook post.
Both ministers also agreed that the COVID-19 situation has stabilised and is improving in both countries.
