Singapore and Ukraine signed an air services agreement, paving the way for increased air connectivity between the countries.
Prime Minister and Minister for Finance Lawrence Wong and Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy, who was visiting Singapore, witnessed the signing.
According to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MFA), Wong and Zelenskyy discussed global developments and possible collaborations.
The leaders specifically discussed deepening cooperation on the bilateral front, particularly in trade and economic relations.
Zelenskyy also met with President Tharman Shanmugaratnam and reaffirmed their countries’ “warm and friendly” ties.
Both presidents talked about regional and international developments and agreed on the importance of adherence to international law and the principles of the UN Charter in resolving conflicts.
