Solar panels to light up 7 Frasers Property retail spaces
The installation will be managed by SP Group.
Frasers Property and SP Group has partnered for the installation of close to 4,500 square meters of solar panels across seven retail and commercial properties in Singapore.
Both entities said this marks the country's largest single solarisation rollout for retail malls to date and demonstrates a significant stride towards sustainable energy practices.
As part of its group-wide Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) goals, Frasers Property aims to install 215 MW of renewable energy capacity at its properties by 2030.
The solar panels, expected to generate approximately 920,000 kilowatt-hours of electricity per year, will contribute to reducing carbon emissions.

This translates to an annual energy cost savings of about $220,000 and a reduction of over 370 tonnes of carbon emissions annually, equivalent to taking approximately 80 cars off the road.
These solar panels will cater to an average of 2% of the energy needs of the participating buildings.
The installation, managed by SP Group, encompasses seven properties, including Alexandra Technopark, Causeway Point, Century Square, Hougang Mall, Northpoint City (North Wing), Tampines 1, and White Sands.
The properties are located in both commercial and suburban regions.
In addition to energy-saving measures, Frasers Property has also implemented green initiatives such as waste management solutions and electric vehicle charging points across its properties.
