Sri Trang Gloves' new Chumphon facility begins production
The newly-opened facility brought the total of production sites to 13.
SGX secondary-listed company Sri Trang Gloves has commissioned its latest facility in Chumphon, Thailand to strengthen its ability to meet the robust global demand for latex gloves. The Chumphon facility expansion comes shortly after the Trang and Songkhla facilities commenced production in February and March this year. These developments bring Sri Trang Gloves' total facility count to 13.
The Chumphon facility has completed its first production dip and is expected to produce 13 billion gloves a year when all 36 production lines are fully operational in the first quarter of 2024. By the end of 2022, the group expects to complete 16 of these production lines, representing a capacity of 5.8 billion gloves.
CEO Jarinya Jirojkul said the expanded footprint and strengthened capacity will enable them to meet the robust global demand for gloves and capture a greater market share.
