Rajah & Tann LLP advise Tosei Corporation in S$619.3m SGX listing

In a deal announcement, Rajah & Tann LLP said that it has acted as legal advisers to Tosei Corporation in its introduction on the Main Board of the SGX-ST. The deal is pegged as having a market capitalization of JPY 47.2 billion or S$619.3 million (based on an exchange rate of S$1.00:JPY76.2) market capitalization based on the closing price on 26 March 2013.

Tosei is the first Japanese company to seek a secondary listing on the Main Board of the SGX-ST in more than a decade.

Advisers involved include Howard Cheam (Capital Markets / M&A), Miyoko Ueno (Japanese Desk), Hoon Chi Tern (Capital Markets / M&A), Lim Ee Nian (Capital Markets / M&A), Daiwa Capital Markets Singapore Limited (Sole Global Coordinator and Manager), Mori Hamada & Matsumoto (Legal Adviser to Tosei Corporation as to Japanese law), ATMD Bird & Bird LLP (Legal Adviser to the Sole Global Coordinator and Manager) and Nexia TS Public Accounting Corporation (Independent Auditor).
