GuocoLand partners with local enterprises for digitalisation
The group eyes to implement more than 20 projects over the next two years in line with its digitalisation drive.
GuocoLand Limited and its subsidiaries launched strategic partnerships with several local technology companies to accelerate the digitalisation of its businesses.
In a media release on Thursday, the GuocoLand Group said it plans to implement 20-digital-related projects over the next two years in its property investment and development businesses.
It will collaborate with local enterprises Airsquire, Groundup.ai, Operva AI, SpaceAge Labs, and Doxa on projects involving the deployment of artificial intelligence, Internet of Things, drone technology, and smart devices, amongst other innovations.
“The transformation of Singapore’s built environment sector requires all organisations in the eco-system to play their part. As we studied the technologies available, we found many cutting-edge innovations being pioneered by local start-ups. We decided to support our home-grown companies and collaborate with them to co-create more innovative and sustainable solutions,” GuocoLand Group CEO Cheng Hsing Yao said.
GuocoLand said these collaborations facilitated by Enterprise Singapore will enable the Group to “enhance its productivity and efficiency, improve workplace safety standards, and mitigate manpower constraints over time,” adding that it is exploring more initiatives through partnerships with local start-ups and other small and medium-sized enterprises on other pilot projects.
These projects will have an impact and raise the “entire value chain of the built environment sector” including design, procurement and contracts, construction methodology, site management, quality surveillance, and facility management.
