Kenneth Szeto and Connie Yik Kong promoted partner at Withers
The two are chosen amongst 12 from California, Japan, Singapore and the UK.
International law firm Withers promoted Singaporean lawyers Kenneth Szeto and Connie Yik Kong from its Singapore office Withers KhattarWong, to partner.
Szeto’s expertise lies in advising private clients on real estate asset management and succession planning. His work includes advising on efficient holding structures as well as secured debt arrangements to deliver effective and practical long-term solutions for clients. He also advises family office clients, whether Singapore-based or offshore, on Singapore real estate portfolios.
Meanwhile, Kong is a former senior associate who is a US-qualified private client and tax lawyer advising on cross-border estate and trust planning, as well as real estate investment and immigration matters. She frequently works with advisers from different jurisdictions to provide integrated tax and succession planning advice that addresses her clients’ varying needs.
The two are amongst 12 who made partnership with effect from 1 January 2021 which Withers said are one of the highest number of promotions in recent years.
The new partner appointees are drawn from the firm’s three business divisions: Business, Private Client and Tax, and Dispute Resolution.
