Manhattan Resources names Oliver Khaw Kar Heng as director

The Board deemed his legal experience and expertise as his key qualifications.

The Board of Manhattan Resources announced the appointment of Oliver Khaw Kar Heng as non-executive and non-independent director.

Mr Khaw, 38, is the head of legal/senior foreign counsel of PT Bayan Resources Tbk (a company related to the substantial shareholder of the company, Dato Dr. Low Tuck Kwong) since 2008.

In the past he was a partner of Lee, Oliver & Gan in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia from 2004 to 2008 and group legal counsel of LKT Industrial Berhad from 2000 to 2004.

Mr Khaw graduated with a Master’s Degree in Business Administration in 2005 from University of Western Sydney, Australia and a Bachelor in Law in 1996 from Anglia Ruskin University, United Kingdom, according to a .

Mr Khaw was admitted for practice as barrister-at-law in UK in 1997 and as advocate & solicitor in Malaysia in 1998.
