Changi Airport Group unveils three faster vessels for sea rescues

Each vessel has a top speed of 40 knots.

Changi Airport Group (CAG) has launched three new types of vessels to advance its response to incidents at sea.

The new vessels each have a uniform top speed of 40 knots, an increase from 20 knots of the first-generation vessels.

The command craft for rescue efforts can carry three crew and 12 passengers.

Meanwhile, the fast craft for firefighting and surface rescue has a capacity of 19 passengers.

The new landing craft will have the same core functions as the previous hovercraft but with the added capability of being beached, making it more versatile for rescue operations.
