Share buybacks reached $39.3m for the 2nd week of March

For the second week of the month from 9 to 13 March, there were a total of 43,923,800 shares repurchased by 21 stocks with a total consideration of S$53.8 million.
According to SGX, this was an increase from the second week of March last year, which saw a total of 6,484,000 shares purchased by 12 stocks with a total consideration of S$39.3 million.
In the month to date, there were a total of 60,545,700 shares repurchased by 26 stocks with a total consideration of S$78.9 million. This is up from S$45.9 million in consideration for the first two weeks of March last year.
The five stocks with the largest consideration amount in buybacks last week were Genting Singapore PLC, Singapore Technologies Engineering, Oversea-Chinese Banking Corporation, Wing Tai Holdings, and Indofood Agri Resources.
