ShoreTel eyes Singapore as Asian hub for strategic marketing

Check out Asian countries that are next in line.

In a release, ShoreTel announced that its focus in Singapore is stronger than it has ever been. With Singapore serving as the Asia head office, ShoreTel plans to increase customer demand in Malaysia, Philippines, India and Indonesia as well.

Here's more:

The deployment of UC solutions is on the rise in Singapore and the region, with the technology recognised as a major facilitator for faster decision making within business. With UC and contact centre solutions that are easy to deploy and manage, ShoreTel is very well placed to capitalise on these trends across Asia,” said Bruce Downing, Managing Director, Asia and South Africa for ShoreTel.

With globally recognised customers and local companies including Singapore-based tour operator, Chan Brothers Travel, ShoreTel is set to further build its brand in Asia and help more businesses, large and small, to enhance workforce efficiency. In addition, Downing is focused on establishing and building new channel reseller partnerships for ShoreTel’s Champion Partner Programme.

As one of the only IP phone system manufacturers in the industry to deliver 100 per cent of its premise-based business through the channel, ShoreTel relies on the expertise of resellers and systems integrators to deliver the most reliable, value-added IP-PBX deployments for enterprises. ShoreTel’s sales team supports the channel partners, assists with major customer opportunities, and facilitates in coordinating national and global deployments.

Partner selection criteria include meeting revenue targets, as well as passing strict certification requirements, with four tiers of the programme – Authorised, Silver, Gold, Platinum – and are measured against the Net Promoter Score (NPS).

In the NPS programme, customers are asked if they would recommend ShoreTel to a friend or colleague. Based on these answers, customers are divided into three categories: detractors, passives and promoters.

A score of -100 means everyone is a detractor. A score of 100 means everyone is a promoter. An NPS of 50 is generally accepted as “world class”.  During the past year, ShoreTel and its resellers earned an NPS of 62 – double digits above 50.

“The world has changed with regards to business communications. Workers are bringing a range of different devices to use at work, and traditional telephony vendors are struggling to meet end user needs. ShoreTel is a real game changer, providing UC capabilities that extend beyond the proprietary systems that are holding a lot of businesses back from unleashing the productivity potential of their workforce,” said Downing.

ShoreTel is now partnering with value-added distributors Transition Systems in Singapore and Infinite Data in Malaysia, with the Malaysian partnership recently launched at an event in Kuala Lumpur. In the year ahead, ShoreTel will execute a targeted partner recruitment campaign in Asia, focused on selecting complementary partners renowned for solutions selling with vertical market expertise.
